Every Maybank fixed deposit rate
Maybank calls its fixed deposits time deposits. For Singapore dollars it has four sets of rates: the Deposits Bundle, which pays more if you also keep some money in a Maybank savings account; a time deposit promotion, at a branch or online; the iSAVvy rates for deposits placed online; and its board rates, which is what a deposit renews at. Here is every rate, as we read or checked it today.

Ranked at Maybank’s own effective rates, 2.05% and 2.19%, which count that savings money at 0.05%. Individuals only; at least S$20,000 placed plus S$2,000 in savings.

1 month needs S$10,000.
% a year. Read 6:52 pm, 24 Oct 2026 from Maybank’s page. A dash means no rate for that term and amount.
Maybank’s rates page says its rates “are for your reference only” and asks you to call 1800-MAYBANK (1800-629 2265) for the latest. The two promotions are on a page that refuses automatic readers, so we check them by hand every week and mark them “checked by hand”. The 36-month board rate applies only when an existing 36-month deposit renews, so it is left out.
Deposits Bundle or the plain promotion?
The Deposits Bundle pays 2.25% for 9 months and 2.40% for 12 months, against 1.90% and 2.10% for the plain promotion. The catch is the extra money it needs. Under its terms (checked 24 Oct 2026):
- For every S$10,000 in the time deposit, you put S$1,000 into a Maybank Passbook Savings, MLife Savings, SaveUp or PremierOne account: at least S$20,000 in the deposit and S$2,000 in the account (term 4).
- That S$1,000 must be fresh funds, paid in no more than 30 days before you place the deposit, not moved from another Maybank account (term 4).
- It is held for the whole term. If you take it out, the time deposit loses the promotion (term 6).
- Individuals only (term 2).
So the fair comparison is on all the money you put in. Maybank does that sum itself: on S$100,000 in the deposit plus S$10,000 in a savings account paying 0.05%, the bundle works out to 2.19% for 12 months and 2.05% for 9 months. That is still more than the plain promotion, so we rank the bundle at those effective rates. The tool below shows what each pays on your amount. If your savings account pays more than 0.05%, the bundle comes out a little higher.
How to place a Maybank time deposit
- Singaporeans and permanent residents can apply online with Myinfo (Singpass), or in the Maybank2u SG app: tap Apply, then Time Deposits.
- To place online you need a Maybank savings or current account and Maybank2u online or mobile banking. If you don’t have an account, you can apply for one online.
- At a branch, bring your NRIC; foreigners need a passport, employment pass and proof of mailing address.
From Maybank’s time deposit promotion page and Term Deposit-i page, checked 24 Oct 2026. Maybank also asks you to keep at least S$10 in your savings account.
When your Maybank deposit ends
Maybank says it in writing: unless you give other instructions before the end, a time deposit renews for the same term at the board rate of the day (term 9 of both promotions’ terms). An iSAVvy deposit renews as an ordinary Singapore Dollar Time Deposit, and a 15-month deposit renews for 15 months at the 12-month board rate. For 12 months, the board rate is a small fraction of the promotion.
From the promotions’ terms (term 9) and Maybank’s promotion page, checked 24 Oct 2026. Maybank doesn’t say how many days before the end it needs your instructions; the reminder above is set a week before.
If you need the money back early
Maybank’s terms spell this out (term 7 of the bundle’s terms, term 6 of the promotion’s): withdraw within 3 months and you get no interest. After 3 months, you get interest for the days the money was in, at Maybank’s lowest savings account rate at the time or the rate you placed at, whichever is lower. Taking out part of a deposit counts as ending all of it (term 8). For the bundle, taking out the savings money also ends the deposit’s promotion (term 6).
Maybank’s Islamic option: Term Deposit-i
Maybank’s Singapore Dollar Term Deposit-i is a Shariah-compliant term deposit. Its promotion rates are the same as the plain promotion’s: 2.10% for 6 months, 1.90% for 9 months and 2.10% for 12 months, from S$20,000 (terms 2 and 3 of the promotion’s terms). It pays a profit rather than interest, and two things work differently:
- The profit is paid upfront, into your Maybank savings or current account on the next business day after you place it, not at the end (term 5).
- Leaving early costs less after 3 months. Within 3 months, all the upfront profit is taken back from your money. After 3 months, you keep half of the profit for the days it was placed, and the rest is taken back (term 7).
The Term Deposit-i is open from age 16, from S$1,000 for 2 to 24 months (S$10,000 for 1 month), and Maybank names the members of its Shariah Committee on its page (checked 24 Oct 2026).
Where Maybank ranks for your amount
Put in the money you have and the term, and untick what you can’t do. Maybank is marked in the list. For the Deposits Bundle, the amount is all the money you put in, including the part kept in savings.

From copies of Maybank’s fixed deposit page saved by the Internet Archive, about one a month since Apr 2021; each date links to its copy, so you can check it. Copies that show the same rates are joined into one row. A promotion that started and ended between two copies is not here. Copies before Apr 2021 pay iSAVvy interest in two parts, some upfront and the rest at the end, so they can’t be compared like for like and are left out. Since 24 Oct 2026 we also save a copy whenever a rate changes.
What changed at Maybank
Maybank has not changed a rate since we started reading its page on 24 Oct 2026. Changes show here the day we see them.
What Maybank doesn’t say
Maybank says more than most banks: its terms give the renewal rate and the early withdrawal rules in full. We read its rates page, its promotion page, both promotions’ terms and its Term Deposit-i page. These things are not in any of them:
- When the promotions end. Both started on 23 Oct 2026 and end “on a date to be determined by Maybank” (term 1). A rate you have placed stays fixed for its term (term 5 of the bundle’s terms, term 4 of the promotion’s).
- How many days before the end it needs your instructions if you don’t want the deposit to renew.
- Whether the extra 0.10% for customers aged 55 and over applies on top of a promotion. The Term Deposit-i page offers 55 and over 0.10% above its profit rates, but the promotions’ terms say they can’t be combined with other promotions unless stated (term 10).
- Its CPF time deposit rate. See the question on CPF below.
Checked 24 Oct 2026. If Maybank publishes any of these, we will add it here and say so under changes to this page.

Questions people ask
What is Maybank’s fixed deposit rate today?
On 24 Oct 2026, Maybank’s highest fixed deposit rate was 2.19% for 12 months (Deposits Bundle, fresh funds · 2.40% on the deposit, S$1,000 kept in savings per S$10,000 · S$22,000+ · checked by hand 24 Oct). Its 12-month board rate for S$50,000 is 0.35%. We read Maybank’s page twice a day.
Is Maybank Singapore the same as Maybank Malaysia?
No. Deposits in Singapore are with Maybank Singapore Limited (UEN 201804195C), part of the group led by Malayan Banking Berhad, which is incorporated in Malaysia; both are named at the foot of Maybank’s Singapore rates page. Its Singapore-dollar deposits are covered by Singapore’s deposit insurance, as above. Maybank Malaysia has its own rates, on maybank2u.com.my.
Can I use my CPF for a Maybank fixed deposit?
CPF Board lists Maybank Singapore as one of four banks for fixed deposits under the CPF Investment Scheme, with DBS, OCBC and UOB (CPF Board’s list, last updated 13 May 2025). None of the Maybank pages we read show a CPF time deposit rate, so ask Maybank for it. Your Ordinary Account already earns 2.5% a year (CPF Board, 1 Oct to 31 Dec 2026), so a CPF fixed deposit only adds anything if it pays more than that after fees.
Do customers aged 55 and over get more?
Maybank’s Term Deposit-i page offers customers aged 55 and over 0.10% above its profit rates, for 6, 9, 12, 18 or 24 months, from S$50,000 for 6 and 9 months or S$25,000 for 12 months and longer. Its MLife Time Deposit, for ages 55 and over, pays regular payouts and, in Maybank’s words, “0.10% p.a. above one of the highest prevailing board rates in Singapore”, from S$50,000 for 6 months or S$25,000 for 12 months (Maybank’s time deposit pages, checked 24 Oct 2026). Whether the 0.10% applies on top of a promotion isn’t stated; ask Maybank.
Is Maybank interest taxed?
No. Interest individuals earn on deposits with approved banks in Singapore is not taxed and doesn’t need to be declared (IRAS).
How we get these numbers
Twice a day, at 9:35 am and 3:35 pm, a script on our own server opens each bank’s and finance company’s fixed deposit page, the same page you would see, and reads every rate, term, amount band and condition on it. 15 of 17 pages read cleanly on the last run.
A read is held instead of published if anything looks off: the page’s layout changed, a rate moved more than 0.5 points at once, a deal vanished, or the page did not load. The last good rates then stay up, marked “being checked”, until we have looked at the bank’s page ourselves. A bank still held after 14 days moves to “check by hand”.
RHB and Sing Investments & Finance block automatic reads, so we link to their pages instead of guessing.
Maybank’s promotion page also refuses automatic reads, so its Deposits Bundle and time deposit promotion are checked by hand every week and marked “checked by hand”; they stop showing after 14 days without a check. Its iSAVvy and board rates are read automatically.
We rank by the rate the bank publishes (or its own stated effective rate, where a bonus is paid at the end or part of the money must sit in a savings account), and show the conditions next to every rate. No bank pays to be listed, and the order is never changed by hand.
- Maybank’s iSAVvy and board rates come from its rates page, read twice a day with the other banks on our fixed deposit rates page.
- The Deposits Bundle and the time deposit promotion are on Maybank’s promotion page, which refuses automatic readers. We check them by hand every week (see our update schedule). They stop showing if they go 14 days without a check, and are held at once if the iSAVvy rates on the readable page change.
- Past rates come from copies of Maybank’s rates page saved by the Internet Archive, each linked in the table above; whenever a rate changes, we ask the Internet Archive to save a fresh copy.
- This page shows numbers, not advice on where to put your money. See our disclaimer, how we get our numbers and corrections.
